No zoo pictures today - too busy!
Forgot that Alex was riding today. I didn't plan to go with, but as he was leaving, he asked if I wanted to, so I said sure. I still hadn't seen their new facility.
It is very nice! Which is good, considering how expensive it is, oof. We jokingly call it "Snooty Acres Equestrian Facility", but honestly most of the people there are nice. It's just... real pricey.
The ride seemed to go well - he said there was a bit of frustration with Lola, but not badly. I thought it looked all right. We left there around 1:30, after visiting his trainer's other horses.
After that we ran a couple errands, then stopped by my mom's house, because my ballot was delivered there.
I got to see Raven - she does seem to have figured out ways to navigate a bit better. She sort of swings her head from side to side, I think to make sure she isn't going to bump into anything. She definitely can't see, though. She heard my voice, so wanted to come say hi, but was looking a few inches to the side of me until I touched her. But she seemed okay - still wagging and happy to get attention. She lay down between me and Taylor while we chatted a bit, and fell asleep. The vet gave her a steroid shot yesterday, which may take another day or two to show results of. She also starts some px eyedrops tonight, which may help.
And I WAS planning to try and get some writing and writing-adjacent stuff done today. :/ But it's almost 6:00, and we're using cheap movie day to see Lamb tonight in about an hour. I hope it's better than Malignant! It seems like it'll be weird, but I'm good with weird. Just not bad. I'm also glad that I can see well enough now to read subtitles! (My outdated glasses px did not allow for that.)
I think I finished the first chapter of Island Territory last night. (I don't want this to be a long fic - I'm planning on four chapters of 2000-3000 words each.) I was going to try and rewrite/second draft it today, but I'm guessing that's not to be. I'll probably start on it, and see if I can get it rewritten and ready for posting later this week.

The movie was pretty good. Definitely weird, but in a way I enjoyed!
