Well, today was somewhat ~productive~ at least. Just not on the things I'd hoped it'd be! But I did get a couple overdue cleaning projects done, and that feels good at least.
- Did a grocery trip. (Wound up being a bigger trip than intended, but there were some decent sales on stuff we needed anyway.)
- Got coffee while we were at the store. They have a big board set up with a "who is your valentine?" question, and sticky notes to write your answer on. Upsettingly, there was one with a nasty antisemitic slur written on it smack in the middle. Alex took it down and threw it away. I hope it hadn't been there long.
- Alex was finally feeling up to helping me put up the plushie nets. (Woven nets that hang in the corner of the wall, for holding stuffed animals. Bought them back in January as a "maybe this will help me with organization of a thing that's been a mess" and then did nothing with them because of this whole bronchitis thing. (Day 29 of it for me and still improving, day 15 of it for Alex and just starting to improve.) Unfortunately neither Alex nor I are able to resist the allure of Cute Soft Friends, which had resulted in quite the plushie mountain along one wall.)
- Before hanging those, realized that... ew, that's a lot of dust. So vacuumed and then dusted the walls and everything on the walls, plus a few other nearby surfaces.
- Did the plushie management, lol. Oh so many of them, but they are better contained! About half are now in the nets, and the others fit much better in the cloth bins that I'd originally intended for the purpose. Still kind of a pile, but not one that's in danger of collapse.
- Watered plants.
- Did final prep and gave my NaMoPaiMo model a good wash. (Alex also prepped his, so hopefully it's warm enough tomorrow that we can dart outside to get them primed.)
Not present on the list of productive things: starting the actual model painting (which is understandable, because it has to be primed in order to do that.) Writing (which is less understandable, because FUCKING HELL. I did get a few hundred words written last week, but I am seriously struggling to figure out why it's like pulling teeth every time.)

yay productivity, even if not as much as you wanted
Thanks for two things--okay, I lied, three things:
1--the knowledge that I'm not alone in my feelings about productivity
2--introducing me to NaNoPaiMo; I'd never heard of it before. I'm not a painter but I like to learn things.
3--reminding me of the existence of toy hammocks! J and I are having trouble finding sleeping space on our bed because of our stuffie collection, and there are yet more such in a trunk that we haven't yet unpacked from the move. Again, I get it. *scurries off to order a couple of toy nets*
Re: yay productivity, even if not as much as you wanted
But you're welcome!
I had forgotten about toy hammocks for a long time! We had one in my sibling's room when we were little, but I hadn't given them much thought recently, until I was specifically thinking about how I wished we could store things up higher to get them off our limited floorspace. I hope it helps you guys, too!

The ones I got are pretty mass-produced, but are a nice wide macrame style (which is much prettier than the mesh one I remember as a kid.)

I remember the mesh ones. Still looking around online.
