Periodic pet pics! (+ a FastCAT)
Today is Alex's birthday! :D
Unfortunately, I woke up with a sore throat, so I do not seem to have actually dodged the crud going around the office, despite my hopes.

Last Friday Bella had another FastCAT. Alex was surprised to realize this was only her fourth.

Bella's times at the FastCAT! 10.76 seconds is her current best!
Her second time was slower, which we chalked up to lower endurance after a mostly sedentary winter.
...until later that afternoon after she'd taken a nap, and when she got up she didn't want to put weight on one of her back legs. She could walk on it, just very gimpy. I took a look when I got home, and it looked like it was just some muscle swelling. She probably pulled something during one of the runs, but was still so hyped she wasn't showing it. I was worried that she'd really be struggling on Saturday, since it seemed to stiffen up whenever she was laying down, then slowly improve when she moved around on it... but on Saturday she was absolutely fine, and barely even a little hitchy. So that was a relief!
Cy got a stuffed drumstick toy and he was very happy with it. Blurry excitement was the best pic I could get of it, ha.
We moved his main dog beds on top of the secondary dog beds (lol) to make a tower of bedding for him. Princess and the Pea little bastard. This is two fairly flat dog beds, with two blankets on top of those, with his memory foam bed on top of those, and then another bed on top of the rest. Spoiled monster. This is at least on my side of the bed, so I'm hoping it will be easier to tuck him back in when he gets up in the middle of the night.

And this is Jaspurr, my mom and Taylor's new cat!
They just got him a week or so ago. He was picked up as a stray, and they estimate that he's about seven years old. He's extremely sweet, and warmed up to both me and Alex right away when we went to meet him. We haven't done an attempted intro with the dogs yet.

Ugh, the crud is no joke. I've basically just been coming home and going to bed each night because it's wiped me out. It doesn't seem to have hit me as hard as most of my coworkers, so I'm hoping it'll be done sooner, too!

Ugh, the crud going around this year is nasty. It's gone around my whole office, it seems like. Mine hasn't been as severe, so I'm hoping it goes away soon, too.
And thank you for the congratulations for Bella! She really seems to enjoy doing these runs, which is great. Those times are better than I thought she'd do, so I remain impressed. Very glad she recovered so quickly, though.
Berry Mad is always adorably grumpy. And Jaspurr is so sweet! He's so cute, and I look forward to getting to see him again.

Yeah people have getting sick in my workplace too, I've been doing my best to avoid it. I'm glad it wasn't severe & has long left you by now.
