Mellow day
Feb. 4th, 2021 04:26 pmUnintentionally slept super late. I woke up a lot overnight fuck you, cramps and woke up around my usual time, but then I fell back asleep and didn't actually get up until nearly 11:00, which is basically unheard of for me anymore.
I also had a dream that at one point involved communicating with a swarm of telepathic bees, which is Rad As Hell.
I've been pretty lazy with the rest of my day, and I'm weighing the merits of trying to work on my to-do list (cleaning, finishing prep work on my model) and maybe poking at some fic ideas instead.
Still trying to decide *what* to work on for a fic. It's sort of a decision paralysis, mixed with the desire not to get TOO absorbed in anything that will keep me from getting back to the one I just drafted.
- During that AUgust challenge, I wrote a pair of fics that fit into Vampire and Monster Hunter AUs, respectively, but could definitely be continued from there.
- I've got another idea for like... an AU of a mermaid AU I wrote last year.
- I have an obscure crossover (podcast Alice Isn't Dead crossover with the book Sparrow Hill Road) that I want to write.
- I have a long Silent Hill thing that's been hovering around for several years.
- There's also the really long kind of ongoing fic that I've been working on for embarassingly close to 15 years, but can't bring myself to let go of.
- There's another AU from AUgust that I didn't even like that much, and yet keep thinking about. At the time I wrote out a bulletpoint list of where I thought the story went from the point I left off, but damn do I not want to actually sink my time and effort into it, lol.
- There are a bunch of semi-abandoned original works I could work on, including a super self-indulgent werewolf kind-of-romance.
Or I could keep staring at the list until it makes my brain melt, and then take a nap, lol.
