Mar. 10th, 2021 09:37 pmSo glad for my weekend!
No real b-day plans for tomorrow, though I'll probably go to my mom and Taylor's for a distanced from-the-porch visit after my mom is off of work. She promised to bake me a pie. :) (My traditional baked-good ask instead of cake is a peach pie. Taylor's is a pumpkin pie, lol.)
My manager took me and my mom to lunch today, which was nice! Turns out the restaurant by the office can make more than grilled cheese, lol.
As anticipated, our company still hasn't made any decisions about the weekend and our projected snowstorm. The five-foot snowpocalypse threats have mostly been tempered, but multiple feet is still very possible. Honestly, at this point I'm HOPING for enough snow that my dog is buried in it, lol. (He's a wimp about the cold, but I think he'd enjoy running around in it that deep.)
One of our off-site locations cancelled our weekend events, but management says they're still planning on doing all of our in-center things. But when CDOT is already asking people to stay home after Friday night, and warning that they will not be plowing anything except highways, and that they plan to shut some highways down... I feel like we should accept that a lot of our students and instructors and staff alike will genuinely not be able to go in.
My manager said she'll keep me posted, and we'll figure out my plan. If I have to take PTO for a couple days, I will not be heartbroken about it, lol. So now I feel a bit like a kid hoping for a snowday, haha.
