Today sort of falls under the "this is why mommy drinks" category.
It wasn't *bad*, so it's nothing worth dwelling on. It was just a bit frustrating to deal with the fallout from a bunch of not-really-anyone's-fault errors.
Kind of one of those nothing much to say days.
I kicked ass on writing yesterday getting about 2400 words, which is the most I've gotten in one day for months, I think. Though I ran into a struggle I know I've seen other writers share as #relateable:
Where you're editing or rewriting something, and you decide "ooh, here would be a great place to add this other thing!" only to discover that... you had already added that thing a couple lines/paragraphs/pages later in the first draft.
Sometimes it's as simple as word choice, other times it's new dialogue or an extra scene, etc.
I did it to myself with a whole chunk of conversation, not realizing that a very *similar* conversation took place just a couple pages later. *sigh*
Still wound up all right, as I think my new version was better, and it incorporated a foreshadowing-ish detail that I'd been trying to find a place to add, so I'm happy with it. But I still hate when I do that to myself!
