I hate having a second day in a row where I feel just exhausted before my day is done. (Though Alex fell asleep at about 7:50, haha, so I'm not alone.)

I really like how Broccoli Cheddar Bomb's habitat looks! I replaced the blue aquarium gravel with smooth polished river gravel. (The blue was shedding little flecks of blue paint, which worried me for chemicals that BCB could wind up eating or absorbing through his skin.) Some stuff I read also suggested that the aquarium gravel can be rough for them, because their skin is so delicate, so they can cause scrapes or pain when they scramble over the gravel too much. The polished rocks are around the same size, but definitely smoother, and with no paint or dye to leach into the water. It also looks a little more natural, in shades of tan and brown.

I also managed a slightly better job of arranging it so that he has multiple depths of water this time. He's got a high "dry" corner, which is where the plant is now, as well as a spot for crickets to hang out before they get eaten. He's got a deep corner, and a smoother slope up to the high area, plus a couple bigger rocks to sit on.

This appears to have been a more popular decision than my moss attempt. He seems to move around a bit more, and not just hide in the same corner all day, so I hope that means he likes it!

Have some pictures! They aren't the best, since it's hard to get pictures without reflections, but here's my boy:
