May. 30th, 2021 11:49 pmAm I just posting because I don't want to break my posting streak? MAYBE.
But it was a good hang out night... Taylor had me listen to some old tracks from the Nier soundtrack and compare them to the new versions from the remake. I never played Nier, but Taylor did play through Automata with me watching, and the soundtracks to both are great. (It's also some of my favorite music to write to.) But damn, Taylor was right: the extra decade or so of experience with music composition (and maybe a better budget) definitely shows in how they improved some of the tracks!
They also played through more of Okami. We're almost done with the game, so that's exciting. (And our save file hit over 24 hours, haha.) Apparently we've hit the Point of No Return, and are heading into the final level.
I uh... didn't post my Mermay fic like I'd intended. I actually was going to do it at work, and then I answered a call that wound up taking over an hour, lol. Though to be fair... they also spent over $2500, which is probably the best single sale I've ever made, and so I don't mind doing the work to get everything scheduled. AND they were nice, even.
I'll try to get that fic posted tomorrow at some point. (I'd do it tonight, but posting in the middle of the night is usually a crappy idea, lol.)
I miss being a teen/in my early 20s, when staying up super late (or even pulling a complete all-nighter) was a thing I could do without hating everything. While I CAN easily stay up until 3 or 4, I pay for it way too hard the next day if I do. Alas for the days of sleepovers.
