Breyerfest Weekend
Jul. 16th, 2021 09:07 pmBack again to the silly (yet Oh So Serious) plastic horse hobby, lol. This weekend is the annual festival that serves as the biggest organized event for the hobby, both for serious collectors and for casual hobbyists and kids. It's virtual this year, which is nice, because trying to afford going out to the Kentucky Horse Park where it is each year would be a lot more difficult. But we got up early when it "opened" so that we could buy the stuff Alex wanted while it was in-stock. We succeeded, though the worry was unfounded - nothing has sold out yet, lol. It was spendy, but it makes Alex happy.
There's other stuff to it - real horses of various breeds doing performances, and art workshops and tutorials and things, interviews and Q&As with artists, etc. Unfortunately, since I do work all weekend, I won't be able to do much of that stuff, alas.
I've got to fight through my writing for the night, and then I'll try to go to bed... I was so worried about getting up on time that I woke up way too many times overnight, haha.
