Show + work + need sleep

Alex's show today went well! No terrible health issues!


Lola all decked out with the winnings.

This was a "working equitation" show, and he got second in both the obstacle and the dressage sections, and wound up reserve for the novice division! (out of 10, so not bad at all!) He said he was pretty shocked by that - he'd thought the dressage part went well, but Lola balked at the second of the obstacles (because she realized there were cows in the next field), though she then went across on a second try.

But I'm glad it went so well! Sorry I couldn't be there, but really glad that the health stuff didn't knock him out.

I am just about ready to fall asleep over my keyboard - Raven was very interested in the fact that I stayed the night, so she kept coming and checking on me every time I rolled over, ha.

Mom and Taylor are back now, and it sounds like the trip went all right.

Got about half of the birthday shopping done for Taylor that I needed to. I plan to do the rest on Tuesday at an actual bookstore, since one of the books they asked for is released that day.

Started off my day super productive at work, getting most of my stuff done early... and then totally crapped out on the second half.

I think tonight is a stupidly early night, and I'll try to catch up on everything else tomorrow, because bleh.
