May. 7th, 2022 11:10 pmWell, the day starting off at 5:15am with Raven having a pretty explosive accident wasn't the *best* way to begin the morning.
But it was for the most part okay after that. Training was... kinda mediocre. Idk, new person just doesn't really seem to take direction all that well? She gets sidetracked, and wants to talk about the stuff she's interested in, which is fine... but I'd try to rein it in so that I could take a call, and put it on speakerphone so she can listen in and try to get used to the types of questions we have coming up... and she'd just start poking around at other stuff until the call was done, then resume her story. If I asked her questions about whether she understood the steps I'd gone through to resolve the call, she'd kind of shrug and say it was too fast for her to follow. But like... if you paid attention, maybe you would have followed it! At one point she was just drawing eyes on pieces of tape and putting them on stuff on our manager's desk. :| It sounds like she's a little fried, because she's in a grad program with finals happening next week, so I kinda get it. But also she's in her 40s or 50s at a guess, so come on, get it together.
This was the last day of training, so... good luck to her when she's on her own for Wednesday.

I took an ill-advised nap around 7:30, because I was nodding off at my computer. Yet I AM actually about ready to go back to bed for real, so catching up on DW is probably going to be a tomorrow thing.
