Well, today was still a hot mess of a day (it just fell the fuck apart about 2/3 of the way through, and I'm afraid that's set the tone for the weekend BUT OH WELL.)
But here we are in a new month (HOW), so time to update my writing calendar:
January - March
Completed two drafts of my WIP "Connections of the Heart", and began posting the new chapters.
April - June
Completed the rough draft and second draft of "Island Territory", and got all five chapters posted.
July
Started rewriting my Silent Hill fic "Outbreak", and began posting my Kingdom Hearts/Howl's Moving Castle fusion "All Strange Wonders."
Looking back at last month:
August
Finish the new draft of Outbreak, ideally by about halfway through the month. Done! Though a bit later than I'd hoped - I finished it on August 20.
After that, outline the fic I hope to write for the "Set Sail" zine. Done! Wrote a rough outline on August 23rd.
02 - post Chapter 3 of ASW Posted as planned on August 02
16 - post Chapter 4 of ASW Posted as planned on August 16 (though very late!)
30 - post Chapter 5 of ASW Posted as planned on August 30
Now for this month and beyond...
September
I'd like to write the rough draft of the Set Sail fic. It needs to be around 2000 words, so the biggest challenge for me is almost certainly going to be making it that SHORT. This is... still super early for when this is due, but I'd like to stay ahead.
Make a cover for Outbreak.
13 - post Chapter 6 of ASW
24 - finalized idea for Set Sail fic due
27 - post Chapter 7 of ASW
This does not give me enough to do for the whole month, but despite my attempts, none of my original projects are currently grabbing me. I think I might try to reread Sparrow Hill Road and relisten to Alice Isn't Dead, in the hopes of preparing for that crossover fic I want to write. But if I can GET another project to feel particularly appealing, I'll be thrilled!
October
Tentatively, I'd like to maybe try to work on that Alice Isn't Dead x Sparrow Hill Road crossover that I've been thinking about on and off for a couple years. If I have the chance to reread/relisten to the canons in September, then I'll be good to go!
I'd also like to get the first third of the Set Sail piece completed in final draft. This isn't due until a check-in in November, however that falls during NaNoWriMo, so I'd rather have it done before that!
04 - post Chapter 1 of Outbreak
11 - post Chapter 8 of ASW
18 - post Chapter 2 of Outbreak
22 - Check-In #1 for Set Sail - Outline/Summary due
25 - post Chapter 9 of ASW
November
I need to decide on a project for NaNoWriMo. I think I'm leaning toward trying to get 50k of the Worldhopping Fairytale Monstrosity written. Something to force a little progress on what will inevitably be a years-long project would be nice!
01 - post Chapter 3 of Outbreak
08 - post Chapter 10 of ASW
14 - post Chapter 4 of Outbreak
19 - Check-In #2 for Set Sail - 1/3 of fic complete
22 - post Chapter 11 of ASW
29 - post Chapter 5 of Outbreak
