This week I drew a picture of Broccoli Cheddar Bomb, who died on New Years Day. He was a good toad, and I miss him.
(My drawing based partially on this picture of him, though with some artistic license to show off his brighter colors underneath.)
This week started sadly, losing the toad. It finished much more positively, with the holiday trip with mom and Taylor. Doing the sort of bougie thing that I otherwise never would was kind of fun. Starting the year off with a mini vacation was nice. Starting it off even before that with losing a pet was not.
Goals for the week:
- We did in fact have a New Year start
- I did set my goals for 2024
- I did set up my new tracking pages (including monthly calendars)
- I didn't work ahead on making grids
- I didn't clean off my table
- I did set a tentative writing plan
- I went to the holiday event/party with mom and Taylor
- We had a funeral for poor Broccoli Cheddar Bomb
- I still haven't cleaned out the habitat
- I started reading a book: The Innocent Sleep by Seanan McGuire
- We paid rent
