Editing project: Done! (For now)

My biggest writing-related goal for April was to get editing for an acquaintance of mine done. (After nearly six months of having this batch of chapters lurking in my inbox...)

I succeeded! And managed pretty steady progress, even. (Steady pace, at least. A few days of editing per chapter, a day in between to read through the next one before starting on it.)



I used this editing project for my "Camp NaNo" goal. The five chapters I had totaled just under 15500 words.

The final count was 18875 words. (The additional words are mostly my explanatory notes on why I would change word choice or the like, or clarifying questions about the intent of some particular bit of dialogue, etc.)

Now it's time to pivot back to my fics, which feels... a bit daunting. It's been several years since I went this long without writing something, and it feels strange to try and get back to it.
