We went to see Presence
This was a pretty productive week. I had that one day where I did a lot of cleaning (more than anticipated), and I also did a lot of reading, writing, and reviewing the things I was reading. So I do feel good about that. Everything else in the US feels like it's an absolutely insurmountable mess, and I don't know what to even try to do. It's definitely wearing on me, and while I'm trying to stay at least somewhat positive, it's hard to, because everything just seems so utterly fucked. Taylor is still not doing well. I'm trying to find small joys in reading and writing and such, but it feels very small.
Goals for the week:
- I did finish reading Trouble and Her Friends
- I continued reading Never Say You Can't Survive
- I did clean off my bedside table
- I did get the Xmas stuff (mostly) put away
- I did not sort out my closet shelves
- I did not prep my NaMoPaiMo model
- But I did remember to enter NaMoPaiMo, just before the deadline
- I did keep writing
- I didn't update my reading page
- I did write my thoughts up for the books read in January
- I did work on my friend's book
- I finally got my phone set up - unfortunately, it was just as frustrating and anxiety-producing as I'd thought it would be, and took nearly six hours by the time it was done, so it completely validated my desire/decision to put it off for months. The phone itself seems nice.
- We did get crickets
- I did my
getyourwordsout check-in: 24,147 words (I probably should have picked a higher goal) - I did my February grids in my tracker
- We went and picked up Cy's meds from the vet
- I started reading Beneath the Sugar Sky
