Jan. 20th, 2021 08:29 pmI am *exhausted* today. I don't really have much of a reason, but I didn't sleep well last night.
Was messing with the new phone until a little after midnight, getting it set up. Fell asleep for maybe an hour or so, and then woke back up. Alex and Cy were both snoring, and I couldn't get back to sleep. At some point after just laying there being cranky about being awake, lol, I got up and took a shower. Finally fell asleep again around 4am.
Work wasn't bad or anything, but I have just been ready to curl up and fall asleep since around noon.
I didn't get to listen to the inauguration (though I heard some clips later), since I did have to be at work, but I will admit to it being a big relief. It certainly doesn't fix everything wrong, but is a move toward less disaster, I hope. At the very least, it no longer feels like a deliberately malicious evil child has the controls. (And there were already some encouraging Day 1 promises kept.)
The last couple days have netted basically nothing in terms of productivity, but I think today is going to be another nothing day. It's tragically early, but I think I'm going to go to bed, lol.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to do some "admin" work - replying to comments and such. I also hope to finish my edits for a chapter of my German friend's book. And then I AM going to finish this damn fic, lol.
