Mar. 8th, 2021 08:32 pmSo one of our tutors came in today and mentioned something like "hey, did you hear about that snow we're getting this weekend?"
And I kinda shrugged and said "Yeah, it's been so nice, and of course it's going to snow on my days off."
And then he said: "I know, five feet!"
...Yup, the forecast is now calling for a LOT of snow, possibly in the "historic, 30-year storm" category. Apparently this *is* still somewhat speculative, and a lot of it depends on what patterns develop or don't over the next few days. The five-feet number is if all the variables resolve in the snowiest possible ways.
A slightly less apocalyptic forecast is suggesting 30 inches. Which isn't quite five feet, but... Still no thank you!
I guess we'll see what winds up happening. If we DO get that amount of snow, my manager said she'll try to figure out a way I can work from home. And if I can't work from home, I guess I'll be taking PTO. Because NOPE.
This will NOT be my first birthday blizzard (though in fairness, this is supposed to hit the day after my b-day), but I'd still rather it didn't!
