Day 7 of NaNo + ongoing sick watch
Nov. 7th, 2021 09:25 pmDid another half day at work today. I was going to try and work the whole day, but my mom made a very impassioned plea over text last night for me to call out. So I split the difference, heh.
My cough is worse, again. My voice is actually very slightly better, though still pretty limited. The sore throat is about the same. I'm more sniffly and congested, with some irritation that's causing nosebleeds in my upper sinuses. One of my ears is also achey and full of painful, crackly fluid now, too. Joy!
I'm hoping, despite some YET NEW symptoms, that I'm on the upswing? I overall *feel* better, except for the fucking cough. (AND THE DAMN SORE THROAT.)
I'm still going in for my Covid test tomorrow, but one of the coworkers I saw today said he thinks it's probably RSV. It's apparently been going through several of the high schools, and is working its way through his college right now.
RSV is super variable, and usually associated with illness in kids and babies, but adults get it, too. Usually it's what's responsible for colds, and other minor illnesses, but sometimes there's a nasty strain.
One of the things mentioned specifically on the CDC's symptom sheet is how not all the symptoms hit at once, but instead come in stages, which has absolutely been my experience with this.

NaNo Day 7 - wrote 2099 words! Best daily count so far, though I'm starting to get a bit closer to where I run out of stuff I've already planned pretty thoroughly. (Not quite there, but getting closer.)
