One thing I didn't expect (but makes sense, I guess) is that the blue lights Alex put up in the kitchen act kind of like weak black lights. We noticed how bright white the mail on the counter looked and such.

And out of curiosity, I checked, and...



Yup! It makes uranium glass (weakly) fluoresce! (It's a bit more obvious and consistent in person, but at least sort of shows up in the picture.)

We only have a couple pieces of uranium glass - a slightly bigger dish that Alex had, and this little cup... bowl... thing... that I found in a thrift store. Someday I hope we'll find more.

But if a scorpion gets into the kitchen while we have the blue lights on, we might see it, lol.

Long day. Center meeting went fine, though. But I'm not a fan of 10 hour days... too long for me now that I don't get overtime. :P
